I'm currently a Professor of IT Governance and Management at the International University of Applied Sciences (IU Internationale Hochschule), the largest state-accredited university in Germany providing in-person, distance and blended-learning programs in German and English to over 130,000 students. I lecture on digital technology, management of IT in corporations, IT governance and compliance, IT regulation and law, and change in organizations.

I continue to lecture on Enterprise Information Systems in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences where I have been for almost 12 years.  I also teach various management and legal topics to undergraduate business students in the Department of Business and Law.  In 2016, I was appointed Honorary Professor in Practice at the University of Wales.

I've published research papers on a variety of topics, including IS Offshoring and on the history of IT in the enterprise.  My current research interests cover digitisation in government, and legal topics relating to technology, particularly regulatory and ethical aspects of AI.
