March 2020: Nothing to say at present.  The bad guys are winning.

March 2021: the bad guys are still winning and getting ever more blatant.  Ferdinand Mount described such politicians as we have now as 'nimble freebooters', a delightful euphemism for a bunch of deceitful, self-serving, vacuous crooks. And yet, this is who has been voted in, with some enthusiasm, so we must bear it.

June 2024: The bad guys are getting kicked out in the UK (at last!) but may be returning in France and in the USA. 'The World, The World!', said Norman Lewis, and he was right.
